“We met on the infamous bumble app and hung out for the first time at Lavaca Street Bar in Austin, Texas. We laughed non-stop with the 2017 National Championship game playing in the back ground. After the game we sat in her car in the parking lot for hours talking about anything and everything, giggling and buzzing like we were 16 years old. We joked that we were falling in love right then and there. Little did she know I was in a group text with my mom, aunt and granny and sent a message that night saying, “I found my future wife... we’re not dating yet but I know she’s the one and I’m done looking!”

This was on January 9th, 2017. I somehow lasted all the way to February 4th before I blurted out how madly in love with her I was. March 1st was when we made things “Facebook Official” and the ride truly began! We dated for three strong, beautiful years and I surprised her with a proposal during an “anniversary photoshoot” with one of her best friends collaborating with me from behind the lense and family and friends waiting in the background to jump out in celebration.

Our relationship is built on genuine happiness, love, teamwork, communication and enjoying every moment we get. Our love has pushed us through some of the toughest loss and most difficult times life can present but because of this amazing woman we always come out on top and stronger than before.

We both played sports in college (football & volleyball) so we are super competitive in EVERYTHING and can never let the other win! She is the goofiest human I know and we end up crying from laughing so hard almost on a daily basis.

The closer we grow, the more appreciative we are of the small things; cherished time with friends and family, lazy days binging Netflix and coming home everyday to our beautiful pits, Tank & Roo.

I learn from my fiancée everyday. I am inspired by her, motivated by her and loved by her in ways that make me so much better than I could have ever imagined. With our love we are truly invincible in this world! She is my favorite teammate, the coolest person in the world and my best friend.

Getting to marry her will not feel real until she is walking down that aisle and I guarantee I will cry like a baby.”
